My bio

I was born on October 26, 1995 in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. My family and I moved to Las Vegas when I was 5 in 2001. I have two talented sisters, Emily and Ashley. Emily, 11, plays the violin, and Ashley, 6, plays the violin and sings. My parents are very supportive of me and my sisters. My mom, Emilia, and my dad, Juan Carlos, both work in the casino business. I have been into music for longer than I can remember. My grandfather always pushed me into singing, and never let me give up. When I was around 9 years old, I started writing songs. Writing songs has always been a way of expressing myself! I basically sit down, (mostly in front of a mirror) :-) and start singing a tune that sounds good to me, then write down the lyrics on a piece of paper and go to the piano and figure the notes out. I usually do the best songs when I am not trying to write a song, so I never actually try to come up with a tune, I let it come to me. I still write songs, and hope to soon get them recorded so I can share them with everyone else. 8)

Performing..... whew.... I have been to a lot of places since I started my singing career! I love the feeling I get on stage when I am singing in front of peeps! It is the best part of being a singer. 

When I first started singing, all I ever wanted to sing was Celine Dion songs. She was my idol. Then later, my mom and grandma introduced me to this singer , Josh Groban. He was an excellent singer, with such beautiful songs! My parents bought the karaoke right away, and I started to sing in different languages. My dad helped me with my Italian (giving me mini italian lessons) =) and my spanish came natural in my singing. In 2007, me and my family went to see Celine Dion's show "A NEW DAY" and I loved it! I still have not seen Josh in concert, but I cant wait for when he goes on tour again! 

A lot of people ask me "How did you record your own CD?" Well...

My vocal teacher Billie Cole had this recording studio, and one day in May of '08, we walked into her studio and she was recording with another student. I watched how the process was, and I thought, "I cant wait to do that!" After the student left, my teacher turned to me and said, "So Jessica, do you have a really good prepared song?" and I answered, "Yeah! Of course!!" and to my surprise she said, "Well then, how about we start recording then?" All of the lessons after that were full of recording and editing song after song! It was so exciting! In August of '08 my CD was finished and ready to be heard! :-) 

When I'm not in school or singing, I usually do crafts. I love doing bracelets, drawing and scrap booking. I love writing and reading books, also! :) 

Writing books has always been something I have done. My dreams for the future are to be a recording artist and to tour with my sisters.
